A creative presentation responding to an MA arts-based research project devised and implemented with co-researcher Zakkai Lovering - French. We aimed to combine our different experiences and perspectives to develop a more fluid, organic approach to film-making as opposed to the more rigidly defined hierarchies and linear processes of traditional film practice. We discovered a shared interest in games, in particular Dungeons and Dragons and tarot card readings. These two ‘world-creating’ activities present clearly defined boundaries but also a limitless capacity for imaginative engagement. Somewhere between these two extremes, we found opportunities for comfortable, creatively fulfilling social experiences.
