"I got to do what I wanted to do, I want to do more!” - Rocket Artist (December 2018)
This arts-based research project was devised and implemented in collaboration with Zakkai Lovering-French as part of an MA in Inclusive Arts Practice in 2018. We aimed to develop a more fluid, organic approach to film-making as opposed to the rigidly defined hierarchies and linear processes of traditional film practice. After seven weeks of exploration, we co-facilitated a series of deconstructed film-making workshops with members of the Rocket Artists at The Phoenix Arts Space. The sessions were an invitation for artists to experiment with a range of artistic media, navigating their self-directed route through the process. This project has since been awarded a National Lottery Community grant to develop these collaborations remotely.
